Important note on CMYK balance and large areas of colour

Each Fusion solids colours shown on subsequent pages is represent with the CMYK balance that constitutes the colour. In the example to the right, FS-0009 has a respective CMYK balance of 0, 91, 87, 0. The total of these numbers can be added to give a total CMYK number. In this case 0 + 91 + 87 + 0 = 178, usually expressed as a percentage.

For technical reasons colours with CMYK balance exceeding 150% often show light or dark lines running the length of the sheet. For many applications, this line effect is unacceptable. For this reason, we do not offer Fusion Solids for colours with CMYK total exceeding 150%. However, the colours shown in the Fusion Solids palette may be used as a reference in the creation of Fusion Customart designs containing many graphic elements and multiple colours – where the line effect is not as noticeable.
